Praise and worship during a Planetshakers conference, 2005 part 1
Planetshakers runs annual conferences in several Australian states. The first conference held in Adelaide in 1997 had 300 delegates, growing to reach 20,000 nation-wide by 2004.
The 2007 conference period saw Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne as venues, and marking the 11th anniversary. Melbourne, being the primary venue, hosted the conference in Vodafone Arena, part of Olympic Park.
The conferences were held in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Perth in January 2008. Melbourne at Vodafone Arena from 2-5 January 2008; Brisbane 7-10 January 2008 at Brisbane Convention Centre; Sydney 9-12 January 2008 at Sydney Olympic Park in the Sports Centre (formally State Sports Centre); and finally Perth on 15-18 January at Challenge Stadium.

Shaking the Planet
What began as an annual Christian youth conference, Planetshakers, became an international ministry and a large church (formerly known as Melbourne City Church) in Australia. Planetshakers City Church originally started when the Planetshakers band and ministry moved to Melbourne in 2004. Under the leadership of Pastors Russell and Sam Evans, the church has an attendance of over 4,000 and that number continues to grow.
The Planetshakers band is a central part of the church growth, bearing a worship-woven modern pop-rock sound attracting thousands of young people. Recently, filipinos were given a treat as the Planetshakers band arrived in Manila to promote their latest album, “All for Love.” Band members Mike “Rudy” Nikkerud, Joth Hunt, Mark Peric, Mike Webber, Natalie Ruiz, Nath Whitton, and Nicole Monteduro performed several songs at the SM Megamall and SM North Edsa.
A new ‘Acoustic, Unplugged’ album will be recorded at Planetshakers City Church on August 31st, coinciding with the church’s move to three services.

We are very excited to introduce you to Planetshakers City Church
In October of 2002 God gave us this mandate to plant a vibrant, Spirit led church that was to see revival come to the city of Melbourne . The scripture found in Acts 1:8 “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you….to win your world” would be engrafted on our hearts and would inspire us to start this great work for the glory of God.
Not only did God speak to us but He started to supernaturally gather a powerful team of people with the same call. Together we believe we will see a God-given dream come to pass. This dream to empower a generation to win a generation is being unraveled before our very eyes.
